Blue Lake Flight was established in June 2009 with the purchase of VH-KTR (172S10132). In recent years Mt Gambier had not had a plane for hire and this therefore fills a niche for those with a licence and nothing to fly!
Manufactured in 2006 and registered to Cessna as N6009J this plane was exported new to Canada where it became C-FIAQ on 13 March 2006. It was then imported for racing driver Todd Kelly becoming VH-KTR on October 23rd 2007. Neither owner used her much and thus she was purchased by us with under 100 hours on the clock!
